How do you convert SKVCD to SVCD or VCD

    I can watch the film via PowerDVD on comp but it won't play on my DVD player.
    I had never heard of SKVCD until now.

    Encode info

    video: mpeg2 480 x 576 25fps PAL
    audio: 128 kbs 44.1khz

    kvcd/skvcd can only be played back on a selected few dvd players. check to see if your dvd player is listed in the kvcd/skvcd compatibility chart: http://www.kvcd.org/portal/articles.php?lng=en&pg=19 also check out that site if you want to know more about kvcd/skvcd.

    if your dvd player is not listed then you'll have to re-encode to a standard compliant vcd/svcd(seeing the resolution for your source is already 480x576 which is the standard for a pal svcd you should re-encode to svcd). you can use tmpgenc or whatever you like to re-encode, and dont worry you wont have to go chasing around for special codecs or anything like that because all a kvcd/skvcd is, is a mpeg1/2 video file which has been encoded with a low non-standard bitrate.
