I have used alcohol 120% to copy the game simcity 4. I got all the way to where it was making an image of the cd and it has been running for over 5 hours. It went relatively fast and was at 97% after half an hour but now it has slowed to less than .1x. Is there any thing i did wrong that would cause it to slow so much?

can you supply some more info:

    was it an iso?
    was it a .bin?
did you have the corresponding cue file if it was a bin?
    What is your pc stats?
How much ram do you have ?
    what type?
Have you tried something else to copy it with:
    e.g: dvd decrypter
    clone cd 5
    disc juggler
    cdrwin
    nero

i tried making a .bin and a .iso but neither of them want to work. I tried safedisk and safedisk 2/3 and both had the same result. Is there another program that you think would work better? I tried dvd decripter and dvd shrink and neither of those programs would even start it. (My guess is because it is a cd not dvd.) and nero would not work either nor would roxio. i have a dell 2400 with a 2.4Ghz pentium 4 and 512 Mb of ddr ram. while trying to copy it i think what is slowing it down is error messages but another thread here said lots of error messages are normal. I tried it again last night with safedisk and it ran for 10 minutes to get to 95% and spent 11 hours tryin to get done. So im not sure what to do. Is there anything else you want to know.

Did you enable "fast error skip"? If not do so. :)
