How do you get through a Compressed (zipped) Folder??

    Hey,
    Sorry if Im posting on the wrong forum page. I have this compressed (zipped) folder on my computer, that is password protected. The problem is, I forgot the password to it and I need to get into the folder. Is there like a master password on my computer that could get through it, or a way to extract the folder without knowing the password?
    I own a Sony Vaio laptop, if that helps...Thanks!
