I know how to mod an xbox, but I have not yet modded mine. I've seen others do it so I know the drill, I was wondering how to install XBMC as a dash.. I was also wondering how to make it boot as you're default dash (when disk tray is CLOSED)?

You can download a program called AID, which lets you easily install the dashboard and accompanying applications of your choice.

You just install XBMC to your C: off of AID; then you can boot the XBMC from the AID menu; then, under a section called My Files on the XBMC dash, you just find the file named Xboxdash.vbe (it's something like that) and rename it Evoxdahe.vbe.

That's how I got it working for mine.

There's a degree of trial and error that goes into it the first time for most first timers, but it's pretty easy; and it is SO worth the effort when you're done. I wouldn't want any other dash on my unit. It's very nice.

Yeah, I second that. I've got a 360 set up beside my Xbox, and the original gets way more use. The XBMC dash is awesome for movies.
