In short: for a (S)VCD --> use VCDEasy for a DVD --> use IFOEdit. Chapters position is written ain a txt file named, by default, Celltimes.txt which you load with the video stream (M2V), the audio stream (AC3 or MP2) and, optionally, the subtitles (SUP). Each Celltimes.txt raw consists of a number which is framerate*position (in s) Therefore, if you have a PAL DVD (framerate = 25) with chapters each 5' (300 ") you have a text file made like this: 7500 15000 22500 ..... where 7500 = 25*60*5 = 25*300 [FPS*Chapter Position (in seconds)] If you have the original DVD you can extract Celltimes.txt from the original DVD, opening with IFOEdit the movie's IFO and giving it the command: [bold] Tools ___ Save Celltimes to file [/bold] Almost any DVD authoring application supports Chapters, I chose IFOEdis since it's free and does not need lot of temporary HD...
