How do you open more tcp connections..???

    does anyone know how to open up more tcp connections in windows. I have azureus and i heard that a good way to speed up my downloads is to open up more tcp connections. If any one has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

    First find out your ip address. Go to command prompt and type in ‘ipconfig’ (without the commas). You need to make a note of your ip address then open CONTROL PANEL then NETWORK CONNECTIONS then highlight the connection you are using and in the left hand panel click on CHANGE SETTINGS…….

    After this click on ADVANCED and then on SETTINGS. Then click on ADD… and you can start putting in new settings. It is handy if you give them a name you can understand and you will need to open the ports that are relevant to azureus, both TCP and UDP,you can Google and the relevant ports.

    If you have a dynamic ip address you will need to enter it each time you go online.
