I have an internal DVD+-RW drive and an external DVD-ROM drive (actually an internal converted w/ external enclosure). When I check my DMA setting it shows 2 Primary IDE Channels and 2 Secondary IDE Channels. Is this normal? Shouldn't I just have one of each? If so, how will having too many effect my drives' performance? And if I need to get rid of 2 of them, how do I do it?

So my settings are correct? I'm not sure how to check which is set to master and which is set to slave either. How [bold]should[/bold] they be set up?

your primary master is your c:drive than whatever is jumpered as slave on same cable will be d:drive.
