My question is as the title states; I tried to find it through the menus on the dvd; but when I go to 'languages', all I see is 'english 5.1' and im pretty sure that's 'dolby 5.1' because when I play it regularly w/out an AV receiver; you hear the audio when watching the movie; if it were a DTS track; then you'd hear no audio in the movie; because I don't have a DTS decoder with my dvd player or t.v. although I don't have a ht system yet; I still want the DTS Track on here for when I do have one because that's what i'll prefer in the future.... That's why I'd like to find it.... Also; some may say the 'ultimate edition' does not have a DTS Track; but when you look on the back of the dvd case, the features part says exactly that there's a DTS 5.1 ES track; plus a DD EX; so on and so forth.... So bottom line----> if anyone has got this dvd or watched it before in DTS; please enlighten me and show me how to access this track; because when I looked at the options for languages I didn't see an other option for a DTS Soundtrack... Thanx Again AD, Halen5150 P.S. this is not to be confused with the newer 'T2: Extreme DVD'....
First off, is this the origianl DVD or a backup? Secondly, when you have a DVD player that can handle DTS you just push the audio button and it cycles through the audio on the disc (DTS, DD 5.1, etc.). However, you have to have DTS turned on on the player (in it's player's menu). Maybe you could try it on a player that has a DTS decoder. Good luck!
Both; when I backed up the movie; I did a full disc copy and didn't remove anything..... I even inserted the original dvd to look in the menus on it and found nothing pertaining DTS
You put it in a DVD player and looked in the menus? I don't see why, I've never seen anything about DTS in the movie's menus, maybe in the audio set-up, but I don't believe it HAS to be there. Like I said, try it in a friends player with a DTS decoder. If not, then try looking at the audio avaible in DVD Shrink. If it's there, it's there, it not, then not. Good luck!
I just put my disc in (yes, I have the origional Ultimate Edition in the special metal case). First, ensure you have the disc in on the correct side. Side A has the film versions, and side B is loaded with menus but doesn't contain the film, and therefor does not use DTS, I accessed both the Theatrical Version and the Special Edition Version and found the track listing in both versions. Under sensory perceptions menu you should find the track listings. I enabled it on the Special Edition Version and my DTS track on the amp flashed on the screen, so it is in DTS format. I am currently in the middle of a backup, but I will be glad to enable a rip program to see if it shows up on my version on the computer. What do you use to rip? That way I can ensure we are both on the same page as long as I open it the same way you are. If there is anything else I can check to help you, just let me know, I will be glad to do what I can.
@Sandt38 I highly doubt that you've got the same DVD I have...........because the disc I burned wasn't two sided....(@ least on the one i got) it was a normal disc; but on the back of the case it said there was DTS....so when I look for it;;;I don't see anything.... P.S. the exact quote on the back said "Over xx hours of bonus features on one dvd!" also; here's a url of the pic of what the front of the dvd case looks like so people have a better idea of which edition im talking about: http://www.btinternet.com/~thedreammaker/DVDCovers/T2.jpg
Are you sure you got the Ultimate edition DVD? Here is a link; http://www.thedigitalbits.com/reviews/t2ultimate.html and it clearly states it has 2 sides . Sorry, it seems you may have gotten The Ultimate Edition cover, but not the correct disc. I never knew this before: I'll have to try accessing this tomorrow night
Do you think it's possible there's a two disc version of this (one w/the movie and the other w/ spec. feat.) ??? 'Cause I remember the disc said 'ultimate edition' on it too......otherwise I must have got scammed on this one....
I don't know. I have the Disc, and my son does as well. I know we both have 1 disc. I also have a couple friends who have Terminator (not sure if they are Ultimate editions), and I can check to see if theirs are single disc or a set. Both my son's and mine have the metal cases, but I think some came without the metal cases. By the by, Halen check your PM box.
