How to add Subtitle in a divx/xvid to DVD conversion?

    I have a xvid file that came with a srt (subtitle) file. When I play the video with a divx player (divx player from divx*com) I can add the subtitle and it plays. Now my question is how can I take that file and create a dvd that will show the subtitle either by default or by pressing subtitle button on the remote. Is there a software that would do that? I am currently using Roxio EMC 10.

    DVD flick can convert the file and add the subtitles.
    It will output to a DVD folder which you can use to burn the disk with nero or ImgBurn.
    The (included) short help file explains how to add the .srt file after loading the AVI.
