Ok, I got a simple question that I couldn't find teh answer for. I've seen a 4.X G.B image file being compressed into almost half the size..How Can I do that? I have winrar and have tried all compression methods but no luck... some one help please. Please
right click the image file and select compress and email.you will then see alot of tabs at the top.slect file and deselct send archive by email.then go back to general and at compression method select whta one you want with best taking longer but better compression nad fastest well...being really fast.most games are in 47.6mb rar files so in split to volumes put in 50,000,000.now select browse and your destination folder and then click ok.now wait for a while and it will be complete.get back to me if u need further assistance.
hey thanks..I tried it and it compressed the file like 10-15%..so a 4.17 G.B file is now 3.8 gb..but I've seen files compressed to half... like this ps2 game iso that was intially 4.47 g.b but compressed into 2.17 gb file. Also..how do people archive twice( example, the wirar archive would have another winrar archive) I'll appreciate the responses.?
Some people manage to compress the archive down to 20% of the original size using 'DUMMY' files. If anyone can help on this topic then please do so, I also want to know how to use the dummy files efficiently.
ok.ill do a bit of reserach into using winrar to the fullest and post my findings on here.also you could try a better compression method called 7zip.it compressed 11025 snes roms from over 9gb to just over 1gb(if i recall correctly from the torrent)
wow..7zip suks...lol....It took over 3 hours and the size is even bigger than winrar.. Any other suggestions?
