    Hi there,
I'd like to author a DVD from stuff I’ve recorded on my digital camera, jpeg and .mov mostly, and I'd like if you guys might advise me on the best route to take. Ideally I’d like to use the freeware option and don’t mind messing with command line programs.
I have Nero 6 with Vision Express but it can't handle .mov's so I think I’ll need something like TMPGEnc with quick time plug-in to re-encode the .mov files to avi's or something? Is that like what I have to do - it's just that I'm not sure?
Also will vision express encode the DVD to the most widely used format as the person I would like to send the DVD to lives in South Africa some I'm wondering about PAL/NTSC issues etc.
Thanks so much for any help,
    James.
