First you shrink the movies with DVD Shrink so that both of them makes you 4,38GB. (just see the sizes when shrinking with DVD Shrink). Then use TMPEGEnc DVD Author to created a DVD including both the movies, also a menu to select which one to play and you're done.
#afonic's method will work fine and will give you a menu so that you can select each movie from a title screeen. However, a slightly easier method is to use DVD2One v1.30, which has a "join" function that allows you to put part of or all of two different movies onto one DVD. 1) Rip each movie from the original DVDs to your HD, putting each in a separate VIDEO_TS folder. 2) Launch DVD2One v1.30 and select "join" mode. Select the first Movie you want and the audio/subtitles you want (exclude any you don't need so you can devote more space to the video). 3) On the next screen select the second movie and either seamless (continuous play) or non-seamless (consecutive play) for your join mode. (You probably want the latter.) 4) Hit start.... Good luck...
Thanks for helping but when the two films have been put onto the harddrive and you use dvd2one to join them how do you put them onto a dvd-r do you use nero are the films in one folder i seem to be stuck
If your movies are DVD files, then select DVD files in the Nero option menu. If they are DVD compliant mpegs, you need to author them. Use TMPGEnc for this.
