i forget the site but if you go to googl;e and search for windows XP password recovery you'll find a site that gives you a small program ot fit on a floppy, then boot from the follpy and it write a string of files to it, then you transfer this file to the site and it gives you all the passwords to the machine and every account on it. I've used it many times at work and it works great.

Try Ultimate Boot CD. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com . It's a open-source Linux-based boot CD with utilities that allow you to do many things, including resetting passwords in XP Pro/Home.

If the computer is owned by the school, you have no business trying to install software on THEIR computer, without asking their permission.

Ask the IT person, who runs all of the computers, if you can install whatever program you want to install.
