I have an .avi file and a subtitle file and an index file - .avi, .sub, .idx.

The file plays in Media Player Classic or in Windows Media Player complete with subtitles. In Nero Showtime it plays without the subtitles.

I would like to know what I must do to burn it to dvd complelte with subtitles and what I must do to get Nero Showtime to play it with subtitles.

Can anyone help me with that?

    regards,

    ab :)

As long as your subs are in sub or srt format, I have used this method:http://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/153058.php You will have to encode with TMPGEnc, though. Also, it will only show the subs in Windows Media Player.

    Hi..

thanks for that. I'll keep that page and learn that method. It was already playing in WMP, though. It's Nero wouldn't play them.

In the meantime I found this piece of software: 'convertxtodvd' by vso software. It just picked up the files and made a dvd for me with subtitles and all in one click.

    I got a 20% discount by quoting 'afterdawn'. I think it's a good buy.

    regards,
