Please help me! I have bought all the "easy" DVD burning software on the market, my computer harddrive is filled with 80 gigs of files that I am unable to burn to a DVD R or RW! I have a Sony DRU 500 DVD RW installed but am unable to make my own DVD's. What steps do I need to take. I have tried Nero (newest edition), DVD Squeeze (which has this 7 step automatic DVD maker which leaves off the important 8th step which would be to convert the files on the hardrive in order to burn on a DVD!), Replicant (which has EasyVCD as a step which is not easy at all becuase my Sony is not listed as a compatible player). I'm about to give up. Can someone help me please??
    Thank-you,
    Kraftx

Wrong forum room, nothing to do with DVD-R media quality issues.

what type of files are you trying to burn?
and what happens when you try to burn them?
after ripping, due to size, you will need to
use a program such as dvd2one ,dvdxcopy,
instant copy, etc. to make the dvd fit on dvd-r

    i rip with smartripper
    convert with dvd2one
    and burn with recordnow max
(nero would not play on my stand alone player)

Follow the guide in the Articles section, or in the DVD2ONE forum. Nero does work with standalones (Panasonic, Thomson, Phillips all tested by me personally) if you follow the settings as described and don't use the wizard.
