You Can"t...Not in DVD Format..There is a Format Called Mini-DVD but not many Players Play them and you would need about 3-5 CD-R"s for a Movie...Are you Talking about Something like VCD or SVCD?? For this you will be better off looking at one of the Guides posted at this site or over at "http://www.dvdrhelp.com/" You Might also Consider getting a DVD Burner because even in SVCD and VCD format you will need More than one CD-R for a Movie, at least 2 and up to 4 if doing a Long movie in SVCD format..You can get a 4X Dual Format DVD Burner for about $99 US right now....So go read up on a few guides and then you will know what you will need and how to do it....good luck
Not True, you CAN fit dvd on 80 min cdr!! Go to www.kvcd.net for the tutorial( I never copy from dvd to kvcd, I usually just d/l avi and convert it, but 100% sure there is a tutorial for dvd2kvcd). Probably to only problem you'll have is with the extra's cause i think the limit is 2 1/2 hours for one 80 cd. gl dude!
Umm...That is Not DVD on CD-R that is a Basterdized version of VCD(KVCD)..And sure you Can Fit a Whole movie on a CD-R with Pretty Awefull Quality, But better than if you used Standard VCD Gop and at such a Low Bitrate, But still Pretty Bad , I wouldn"t recomend it because I would not recomend something that I know is Inferior and I wouldn"t use Myself..Plus KVCD will not Play on all DVD Players and if you Later wanted to Back up your KVCD Collection to DVD it could not be Done Because DVD does not support a 46 frame GOP with No I frames..And KVCD Files are allmost impossible to edit because of the Lack of I frames being only One Per 46 frame GOP..But becides all of this they are great...
Duh,Of course the quality of the movie won't be the equivalent of a dvd, but 21/2 on 1 80 min cd compared to 3 svcd's you can't beat it. Plus if kvcd doesn't work on your player skvcd defintely will. Skvcd goes up to a res around 720x480, but it's a give n take situation the better the res the shorter amount of movie you can put in (for 720x480 you can get around 90 mins in). Check out the kvcd.net. The progs I use is dvd2svcd and try to get dvd2kvcd plugin if you like automated programs(if not they have a laundry list of apps to get you on the way).
