OK this is driving me nuts. i have followed just about every instruction there is only to come up with more frustration. I have some movies downloaded on my pc that i want to put to disk but yet when i do it never records right and i have even downloaded all the required codes and all they are doing is giving me a headache. I have researched extensively on the web and i want to know if any of you have been successful at this. I have my movies saved, i know where they are but trying to get them to disk i may as well delete everything i have. I went into the forum and went step by step and its not working...so if you any of you can help me with this one i would appreciate it. If i cant get the movies downloaded onto a disk to play in my dvd player i may as well hang it up...thanks Midnight
Wow what a problem pretty extensive issue ok firstly what is the format of the file of the movie?? e.g. avi, mpeg etc... if these are how ur movies u have downloaded are like?? u can use a few diffrent programs. TMPengc is one program u can get from this site http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/tmpgenc.cfm also u can use a program called Unlead DVD Movie Factory doo a google search or use a p2p for this. i hope that helps
Thanks all i use the movie files Avi, some have mpg. Some of the movies have dvidrip in the movie name. I use a program to get my movies if you want to know what i use you will have to personally message me because i wont say it on here. Some movies are good quality and some are bad it all depends how which one you choose. I have never had a problem getting my music on my cds but the movies have presented me with a challenge and a problem. I downloaded all the things before that it said i needed to burn my movies onto cd but to no avail. I even tried to use my windows movie maker but it wont support recording it to cd. I know i tried it last night. The files were too big so i had to split the movie up but it wont let me save it to a cd so thats my biggest problem. I might have to redownload the movie but in smaller sections. I was able to put it on cd before like this but then it would not play on my dvd to my tv. So thats what im ultimately trying to do. The songs i record can pretty much play whereever and they play good but the movies thats a whole different story. So before i go any further with recording ill check out the links you provided me with and see how it goes. I appreciate your help. Im a computer junkie but im not that good lol....I just want to get my movies to play. Any suggestions would help. Were not concerned about the P2P programs u use. What we asled was about the files formats, which u answered. What I can suggest is the programs i listed in my last post try them out using what u use to download the movies and all u have to do is go through the wizard to create the DVD or VCD etc...

I notice that you mention avi so i will assume that you will need a converter .The use of a converter is simply to change the properties of your avi to that of mpeg2 so that it is compatible with the dvd.
