Hi and first of all congratulations for this great site.

    I have just acquired a Blu-Ray burner.

I have a lot of HD movies (*.ts and *.mkv files) on my hard disk. How do I burn a "ts" or "mkv" hd movie on a BD-R with NO quality loss ? The software that comes with my bdburner (PowerProducer) doesn't recognize these extensions.

Thanks in advance for your help guys :)

    HD rulez :p

you'll need to convert the .ts & .mkv files to a format that your burning software will recognize.

Thanks for the reply my friend.

But do you know a Blu-Ray burning software that recognizes .ts and .mkv extensions ? That would prevent me from converting them.

    doubt there is one.

first, even standalone dvd players dont support .mkv... its a really exotic format and not too many things support it.

you'll be better off finding a format that your software that can burn bdb will support, and finding another piece of software that will convert .mkv to that specific filetype.

USE TSMUXER and load the .ts or.mkv files and choose bluray disk
nero 8 will burn the bd disc
    power2g0 does it
and there are lot of third party burning softwares that will do the job
p.s. when u burn to bd -disc
    use bd-re disc safe side
