how to clean sennheiser cx-300 earbuds?

    i have a pair of sennheiser cx-300 earbuds and i want to clean the grill so ear wax doesnt pile up on it. is there a way to clean it without damaging it? ive looked it up on google, but they dont give any specifics..... and help is appreciated.
