how to connect to my new ADSL D link router

    i want to connect to my ADSL link router but its not connecting to the internet i know i have all the cables connected to the right spots but internet isnt starting? pleaes help me

    I am assuming you have the correct cables attached correctly?

    Modem - crossover cable > router - straight thru cable > computer.

    Morph, crossover cable? always used straight thru to the best of my knowledge.

    mega, did you release your ip before connecting the router or even even disconnected the power cable & phone line to modem for 20 seconds?

    guyz dont worry i did everything before reading this comments and im a computer wiz is just when i went to configure my ISP my password the company gave me didnt work, thats all., im calling the company . you can close this thread.
