I've converted AVI, VCD, MP4, etc to DVD with Nero Vision, but I just got some windows media files on a CD that someone gave to my dad, but it can only be played on the computer. I've tried every damn program and nothing works. Any suggestions? If I posted this in the wrong forum I am sorry

I have never tried it with copyrighted clips.
I wasn't prepared to allow the plugins onto my pc to enable copyrighted clips and films to be played.
You will probably need a seperate way of removing the copyrights such as DRM from downloaded films etc...

I have never seen it done, but you can read this thread and see if it helps at all.
I use Camtasia as mentioned in this thread for other purposes, and it is very good software, but personally I would rather just rip a DVD than mess about with capturing and converting.
    Hope it helps anyway.
