The .avi files will need to be converted to a DVD compliant format. Try using avi2dvd for the conversion process, it's free. Once the files have been converted to a DVD compliant format you'll be able to burn them to disk and enjoy. http://www.trustfm.net/divx/SoftwareAvi2Dvd.html Once the conversion process is complete you'll need DVD shrink for the transcoding process (if the file size is greater that 4.6GB) and DVD decrypter to burn with. Get DVD shrink here http://www.mrbass.org/dvdshrink/ Get DVD decrypter here http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ Here's a guide for using them to backup your files to disk http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/TheGuides/backup with Decrypter&Shrink.pdf
Oops, I posted a bit too, I thought you might not know what to do with the files after ([bold]see above[/bold]). Here's a guide for using avi2dvd, this guide also shows another way to burn the files to disk which also work well. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/avi_to_dvd_avi2dvd.cfm
