Hello, I know this topic must be assisted a million times in here. If so, please direct me to the necessary forum. I want to backup my software CD by making a copy of it so I can use it instead of the original one, as the original CD might get scratched etc. I have Nero 9 as burning software. Do I need other (free if possible) software to make a image file or something? How do I go about doing it?? Please advise. Thanks, Sandy.
If your CD is not copy protected, you can do it with Nero.I have Nero 7, but 9 should have similar features. Open Nero StartSmart and choose CD->CD Copy. Choose Image Recorde for "Destination. Once the CD is copied to your hard drive, burn that image. ImgBurn will probably do the same thing, but since you have Nero, give it a shot.
