I have a pioneer A05 and how do I determine which firmware version do I have and is upgrading to the latest version 1.33 good because I have heard some pretty bad things about upgrading? Thanks in advance!!
Im using 1.33 and its great. You can get it here: http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/pioneer_firmware_upgrades.htm Also get the tool down near the bottom called CDVDInfo as this will tell you what u want to know.

Lisa_Z, I use Nero (5.5). Goto "Choose Recorder". Highlight your DVD drive. A large dialogue box opens, and part of the information tells you what your fimware version is. Not sure if you have access to Nero. HomerJ
Isnt that the DVDA06 as opposed to the DVRA06? Im not sure where it is mentioned that the DVRA06 has a firmware upgrade, basically because i wasnt aware it did.
