When it comes down to editing hd video, is the process simular to editing sd video. For editing sd video I use premiere pro, my video as avi. Is the hd video the same or different format and can i use premiere to edit hd video?

Any other HD editing info anyone can add is welcomed.

    Thanks.

I don't know as I have not done myself and I hate to direct away from AD but since this topic is rarely covered at AD here is a link.

I don't think most of it's quite as easy as editing DV. Most use long-GOP, or interframe, compression and that can lead to complications in editing. The professional HD video formats generally use intraframe (DVCPro-HD, etc.), but if you're only editing HDV you could run into a lot of irritating glitches as it uses MPEG-2... and that's usually a pain to edit.
