How to fix stop - start on a copied dvd?

I have an already burnt copy of the prestige, but it stops and starts all the way through....anyone know what I should do to fix it? I don't have the original dvd anymore.

 

Probably due to the use of poor quality media or burning too fast. You cannot fix it.
You will need to recopy the original DVD.

 

Your only option would be to try and rip it to your hard drive and then burn it onto another disk (hopefully some good quality media) and burn it slow...

 

Thanks guys, will try ripping it to hard drive and starting again, but slower.

 

Burning slower has made no difference, will have to invest in better quality media. Any suggestions?
