I have a softmodded xbox that loads games but not live and i dont have a dashboard so im thinking of formatting the whole thing how would i do that? Or what else could i do??? I have deleted the Linux install file...
Is that all the info you are going to provide about your xbox. If so the only thing I can say is use a huge magnet.
Dispite popular belief, magnets will DESTROY your hard drive rendering them useless!! In order to use the xboxhdm utility, you must first have your EEPROM which, if your xbox is still accessable (and modded) you can FTP it onto your computer. If you have any questions on how to do that, you can visit other threads. Without the EEPROM, your hard drive will be unlocked. Your xbox can only run hard drives locked with the your specific EEPROM.
whenver i turn on my x box without a game it goes to a screen that says please cal customer support and the light flashes red and green. i can load halo2 but no xbox live. i deleted the linux on my hd so i only had evox...Then i came back to my xbox and i didnt have evox so i have no dashboard at all. I cannot ftp to my box and i dont know what to do?? help please....
You need to make an EvoX cd. Here's the first thread I could find on the topic: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/64802. There are many more sites that go into more detail on how you make a bootable EvoX cd, and since your xbox was already modded and can still run games, it would most likely be your best bet. Just copy the cd to your C drive once you get it to boot.
