You can usually do it with "Virtual-Dub" but only if both files have the Exact same Specs.... Run V-Dub and load in your First AVI file and then go to "File" to "Append AVI Segment" and Load in the second File...(If you get an error here or when you Load in the First File Tell me what it is and I"ll tell you how to Fix it..) Now go to "Video" and set it to "Direct stream Copy" and then go to "Audio" and set it to "Direct stream Copy" and then go to "File" to "Save as AVI" and save the File and in a couple Minutes you will have a joined file ... Cheers
Ok, i'm using VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.2 and i have a similar question. I know how to join Avi files with it except for the ones that when i attempt to load them the "mpeg filter" processes it and then the option to append is no longer available in the menu. How do i join Avi files like this?
If the "Mpeg Filter" comes up when loading these Files into V-Dub(Mod) then they aren"t AVI files But are Mpeg files(If it says AVI on the end of the File then someone renamed it incorrectly) and V-Dub doesn"t support Joining of Mpeg files.... If you want to Join Mpeg files it is best to use a Mpeg editor like "Womble Mpeg2VCR" but if you want something freeware you can try useing the "Merge & Cut" feature in the Mpeg tools in "Tmpgenc" but I can not Gaurantee it"s reliability.....
