hi peeps right i have GEIL pc2-6400 or ddr 800, i have been reading up a bit now and trying to overclock my cpu by the FSB which i can do fine. i can get from 2.40 stock on E6600 to 3.1ghz stable if i take it to 3.2 my system comes very unstable which is cos of the ram at the moment ot seems. my ram is running at 515-515 and cos of DDR its a total of 1030mhz with a fsb/dram ratio of 2:3 (info from CPUZ) even tho in the bios i set it to 1:2 to see what it would do, so how do i overclock to 3.2 -3.4 and downclock the ram so its stable (and i do have a very good air CPU cool its like a dual turbine its the armarda TEC cooler) also in the bios on the fsb/dram ratio tab there is settings like 1:1.25 whats that .25 about cheers

you need to set the fsb/dram ratio at 1:1. this will let you overclock alot more. in a 1:1 ratio the memory will be 2x the fsb. so if you run at 9x400 to get 3.6 then the memory will be running at ddr2 800.
