I know that there are lots of threads already with this question but i get too confused with them. Here's my question:
How do i permantely encode/imbed subtitles unto avi files? So i burn the finalized file as a divx to dvd-r using nero express
Also, does Nero do the trick for permantely embedding subtitles unto avi?
    thank you

    Use Afterdawn's guide.
Once the AVI file has been saved with the new subtitles, you can either write the file to disk using 'Nero Express' (this is if you have a standalone player that plays DivX files) or use 'Nero Vision' to convert the AVI to DVD format..
Nero, as it now stands, cannot add subtitles to video.
This is why a third party program is required.
