Yeah, Moonshell (The Media software included in the R4 Firmware) can play almost every format I throw at it.
I still do not get it. It means i put the music into the moonshl folder then i can start playing??? I put into that folder and could not find my music file.
I put the Moonshell and system type files in the root on the microcard that goes in the R4. Then I just made a folder for each artist or type of music I wanted and dump MP3's into the folders. Stick the R4 in the DS. It comes up to a screen with a music looking icon in the middle. Hit that and you can see the files system. Just use the keys to navigate around and play tunes. I just got mine and my boy loves it. I got the card about half full before he had to have it. I'll get it back and load the card up some more here in awhile. He loves it. Rocked out in the back seat on the way to the park today. Going to try movies this week I think. I can see real easy I might need a couple of more micro carts.
Thanks I can now upload MP3 music inside my DS. The movie part is it the same as putting music into DS???
Yes and no. I haven't done it yet (it's my next thing to do). Yes, from what I understand you just drag and drop and run it with the player just like music. No, the movies have to be in the format which works on the DS which is the .dpg format. Moonshell is supposed to have a tool to convert them which comes on the CD that came with the R4 and there are other coverters available you can download I think. I think you can also just torrent movies already in the correct format, which is what I'm going to try.
