how to record a svcd cd from miniDV?

    I have a digital video camera that records
    in the miniDV format. I have a Firewire card
    that let me transfer the digital video to the
    PC, resulting in a Quicktime .mov file.

    I want to translate the video clips to the svcd format so that I can burn them in cds an
    be capable of seeing the video in my DVD player.

    What is the software necessary for this transcoding?

    You can use TMPGEnc and the QT reader plugin.
