how to record HD on reg vcr ?

    I have a samsung hd tv, and a hd direct tv reciver.I have hdmi out of the reciver in to tv.i can play vhs tapes but i can't seem to record.Is there a way to connect the vcr up so i can record what's on tv screen. I no it won't be hi def. I just won't to be able record when i am not at home. thanks for any help you can give me on this. xbill

    you'd have to connect the vcr input to the recivers ouitput.

    what outputs does your receiver have other than hdmi? - does it have a scart output as thats want youd want connect to your video...

    of course youd have to find some way to remotely change the channel on the receiver, unless you left it on the channel before you went out and only wanted stuff on that one channel....
