i want to convert several 100mb divx files into one dvd. there should not be a very large increase in size.i want to fit in around 15 such files in a 4.7GB dvd-r. Is it possible?? If yes how Please help
1) convert any movie into a DVD Movie (avoid choosing a bitrate so that each movie fills 100% of the DVD; choose the bitrate according to th minutes of duration of the movie and considering that 155' movie = 1 4.7 GB DVD-R, at normal bitrate (e.g. a 15' movie = 10% 4.7 GB DVD-R = 0.47 GB) (avoid selecting an option like 'automatic fix the bitrate' in your encoder, or it will force every piece to fill 100% . 2) author a DVD containing multiple movies, like you inserted many clips on a VCD. Sorry I don't know the applications, but I think DVD Lab can do it. Surely Nero cannot, because it will try to make 1 movie fit the whole DVD (by default, because it automatically encodes the AVI this way, when you load it. Probably it makes the same with an already encoded movie).
so u say that the size of my 30 min divx video cannot be reduced below around 800MB....is there a minimum bitrate fro encoding dvds
You can reduce your 30 min divx to any size mpg you want...but below about 1 gig, it's hardly watchable, and at 500 meg, it'll be nothing but large green blocks.
