K, I have few DVDs that I wanna get adudio only from them. How do I do it ? Is there any program that can extract audio from DVD ?
Here's a little guide I made up after I figured out how to do it myself. It worked pretty well for me, anyways. There are programs that you can pay for that seem to make it relatively simple but these are all free if you want to go this route. This is how I ripped music from a DVD of Jimi Hendrix. I first used this guide for using DVD Decrypter that I got somewhere but can't recall, so I can't give proper credit to whomever wrote it. (Sorry!!) 1) First make sure that DVD Decrypter is in IFO Mode! 2) Click on the main Concert file under the input tab At this point you can choose to rip all of it or just one scene (or song). 3) After sellecting the files you want to rip, click on the Stream Proccessing tab. 4) Enable Stream Proccessing 5) Check the Audio stream box only! If there are multiple audio streams choose the one that only has two channels. 6) Now, highlight the checked audio stream and choose to Demux it. It's important that you highlight along with putting a checkmark. Now your ready to rip! 7) Rip the DVD (audio stream) to your hard drive by clicking on the DVD to hard-drive icon. That should create an AC3 file. Once you have the AC3 file you need to convert it to wave or mp3. This can be accomplished with a program called HeadAC3he. To do this follow this procedure. 1) Download all of the following & extract to the same folder. I'll give you the link at the end. a) HeadAC3he b) Azid DLL c) Libmmd DLL The following one's seem to be different for different Processers. So scroll down the page for the proper one. d) SSRC DLL e) Lame DLL (for making MP3's) f) Vorbis DLL (for making OGG files) Personally, I prefer to just creat a wave file & use dbPoweramp to create my MP3's. 2) Open HeadAC3he 3) Click on "Source File" & navigate to the source & open it. 4) Click on "Destination File" & navigate to wherever you wish to save the wave file. 5) About 1/3 of the way down, click on "Destination Format". This is where you opt for OGG, MP3, or WAV. 6) About 2/3's of the way down, make certain you put a checkmark in the "Resample to:" box & have it set to 44.1 kHz. 7) Click the start button & that should be it!! http://darkav.de.vu/ This is for Headac3he
Or, you could get a copy of DVD Audio Extractor here:http://www.castudio.org/dvdaudioextractor It's a great little tool
i know dvd audio ripper may finish your wishes.you try to use it. http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-audio-ripper.html
The DVD: Sringsteen's Devils & Dust, the dreaded Dual Disc version (with Accoustical Performances). I couldn't get the CD side to mount, but alas thats a different issue. That Same DVD: After multiple Decrypts and "Attempt to Rip's" with all sorts of programs, both freeware and feeware, it was DVD Audio Extractor that Finally pulled it off. I had AnyDVD running as well. (AnyDVD always runs when i'm using the media I have purchased, fairly). This is an excellent (simple, and dare I say, almost too easy?) program that ripped and allowed me to encode VBR mp3 and even do a bit of tagging while I was at it. I'm going to have to give this one three Thumbs up. (Am borrowing my neighbor's thumb. His name is lefty.)
-DVD Decrypter (in IFO mode), stream-process and demux audio to separate file. Select the audio you desire - if LPCM it is very easy. If AC3 beware the 2.0 (it typically contains Director's commentary). -BeSweet (Azid) to transcode AC3 to normalized (-0dB) stereo WAV. -CDex and LAME to encode VBR MP3 (can downsample to 44.1KHz if req'd). I perform this ritual every time I backup a DVD to XviD AVI - unless the AC3 2.0 is offered plainly (without commentary) in which case I will use it directly :^) Regards
