Ive never attempted to set up any kind of camera or surveillance system whatsoever, except for a simple USB webcam =) So what im trying to do for this scenario: there are 4 MiniDV camcorders, and 1 monitor/laptop. We need to record in 4 diff rooms and the monitor and/or laptop is in a 5th room. I need to have the 4 cameras run to the monitor. what equipment do I need (aside from the cameras obviously) and how do I get all 4 to show up on the monitor? I need to be able to record these too... I need this for a pretty cheap price please lemme know your inputs!
SO what i have discovered I can get a 4ch DVR and hook it up to any normal TV monitor or whatnot... correct?
