how to watch vcd's on game consoles

    hey does anyone know what it is i need to use in order to watch VCD movies on a playstation or a PS2?

    I've heard it can be done on an Xbox but is a real pain to do. Never heard of it done on a PS2 though.

    i think u need a mod chip but i think the way the ps2 is made up its laser is designed so it doesnt recognise created discs

    I've got a messiah 2 modchip in my PS2 and that still won't play Vcd's. I think it may be possible in a similar way to the Xbox, but wouldn't know how to go about it.

    to tell u the truth its best only to mess about TRYING to play DVD on a ps2
    coz the ps2 jus simply will do all it can to not recognise a vcd
    i heard soon they will be launching a psx ros mink like dat
    which has got a dvd writer built in also it ca be purchased by trading in your old ps2

    also its best to see if u have a dvd player that it recongises vcd and then use it to play em
