hi, i want to convert some .divx and .avi films that i have, i have downloaded this TMPGENC software but dont have a clue how to use it, if someone could tell me how to convert these files or even there is a site with a guide on then that would be cool, thanks
don't use TMPGenc, you'll get nothing but problems. Use Gordian Knot, it does all the audio and vid frameserving and encoding for you. Check out doom9.org for a good GK tut. GK is very simple, and does a great job at handling all of the progs it uses.
Dear Nicklt, I take it you want to convert some avis into dvd compliant format for burning to dvd, right? In that case, you could try VSO DivxToDVD (free version), pretty fast and reliable: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm You can convert multiple videos at one time. Just keep adding before hitting 'convert'. Good luck!
