how would i create a new hdd for my xbox without buying one

do i ahev to have a special hdd or something or wat plz tell me

 

lol you cant create your own hdd that would be nice but unfortunitly. but if you want a new hdd for your xbox first it needs to be modded (softmodded or chip), and then you just use a regular hdd you can find at any computer store. the xbox's hdd is the same as that of a computer. the xbox itself is literally a computer.

 

i kno but im sating can i use any old hdd that i have laying around my house i have an 80gb hardrive that i dont need anymore and i was wondering if i could just like build it to make it and xbox hdd?

As long as it's ATA then it's OK, most HDDs support locking so I won't be to worried about that.
