hp 100I dvd+r copying dvd movies

    I have been trying to copy my dvd movies for a couple hours and for some reason it starts and then says there is an error in the recording device. I am told that it will only do dvd+rw to copy movies and NOT DVD+R.. Please someone help, I went and bought 100 DVD+r media and I would be pissed if I wasted this coin....

    Yes the HP dvd100i is a 1st generation DVD+RW drive and will not work with write-once DVD+R media.
