I just bought a 300i yesterday and I love it. Although I haven't burned any dvd's yet 9 simply cause I'm too stupid to figure it out) I have burned some cd's with it and it is very fast about cd burning and it is also very quiet and they give detailed instructions on installing it. I mean I can't figure out how to burn my downloaded .avi's but I can install the darn thing myself. I got mine at Staples office store and they even sell them at some wal-marts

I would recommend a Pioneer DVR A06/106 due out on June 30th> I would bring it back and wait for it. I am and i normally cant wait for anything!
Trust me, forget the rest...Pioneer are the best

I bought the HP 300N (internal) 'cuz I have a HP Pavilion 500W 'puter. So far I have burned w/ both DVD X Copy and DVD X Copy Xpress w/ excellent results. I suggest DVD+RW media as you can overwrite the disc if you encounter any errors during the burn. Bottom line: I'm satisfied w/ the product and I can't tell the difference between the original and the copy. BTW, I use Memorex DVD+RW media. Oh Yeah, I got it @ Fry's Electronics. If they don't have a store near you go to: http://www.outpost.com
