First u need to download a ripping program. My favorite is DVD Shrink. this will let u get by the encription and if the movie is to big for a dvd 5 then u can compress it to fit on a 5. From there im not to familiar on what to do so ask some one else.

Is it burning on to the DVD and the DVD player isnt reading it or is it just not burning at all. If it is burning but the DVD player isnt reading it then try these things. Check to see if u have a + or - burner then check to see if ur dvd player will read the kind that u burn. if it does try ripping all files to one folder, name the folder what ever u want and then DONT change the name of any other files in the folder. then burn the folder (and every thing that was ripped into it) on to a DVD. then dry it in the DVD player one more time.

Tell me if every thing went ok.

longjon was right, except for you need to name the folder VIDEO_TS all caps just like that
Then you burn it as a data disc using nero or roxio

Thanks everyone for your help, the copying it to the one file and then burning it as a data disc did the trick. Thanks again..
