the forum quite obviously supports http links to websites but it might be handy if it would also support https in the off chance its needed, like it is in https://www.europe.f-secure.com/v-descs/swen.shtml
geez, doesnt seem like a very fair answer man. ftp://, ed2k:// and torrent:// kinda represent links to maybe pirated material and i know why those arent implemented, https:// is completely different so i dont see exactly what was wrong with the suggestion but sure, go ahead, its your forum, answer like that if u want! EDIT: Sorry man, just been a bad ould night for me so when I read the answer I jumped to the conclusion that you were being sarcastic immediately without thinking, dunno why i do that sometimes, i wont change what I said though cause I dunno maybe u were being sarcastic! lol _X_X_X_X_X_[small]http://www.BillLonero.com - Check out a true artists music! aD channel on IRC: rod.liquidirc.com #ad_buddies Newbie IRC Guide- http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/47221[/small]
Sorry mate, as you can see, it was 1:50AM when I replied, so I do apologize if I sounded somewhat "angry" which I absolutely wasn't. What I meant really to say was that I will implement all *.*://*.* links once I get to it -- there are legit uses for all of those (such as offering downloads that wont kill your http servers) and as usual, we'll ban all pirates, no matter what method they use And no, I weren't sarcastic, just feeling the need that I should have gone to bed 4hrs earlier and relized that your suggestion is OK and I also need to implement other :// links as well
Sleep. Hehe... Sleep is overrated. Might there even be a way to limit who can use the fancy https/ftp type links to ppl that have proven themselves as non-stupid (i.e., not the one time pirate that gets the goodbye ticket kinda deal)?_X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7V8X-X, AMD2500+ Samsung 1024MB, PC2700 360GB [3x120GB, 7200, 8MB] MSI Starforce, GeForce4 Ti4400 128MB AFTERDAWN IRC: irc.emule-project.net, #ad_buddies COME SAY HI![/small]
