I'm using ConvertXtoDVD. I converted "The Kingdom" to DVD from AVI and as you can see there's a huge quality loss.

I tried burning just the AVI file without converting it but when I played the DVD the size of the picture was squished and it didn't fill the whole screen.

So, is there any way to convert AVI to DVD with no quality loss? OR, is there any way to just burn AVI to a DVD and have the size of the picture remain normal?

theres always quailty loss on transcoding...

was convertxtodvd set on high quailty?

you just burnt the avi ???? you got a divx player?

try finding the best avi possible x264/HD are good quailty to start and makes for a better dvd output

see all depends on the quailty of avi firstly

I convert it using AVI2DVD and there was no quality loss! And yes ConvertXtoDVD was set to high quality.

There is always a quality loss.

I also use AVI2DVD (using HCenc as the encoder) for longer projects and it does do a nice job, unfortunately for many it can be a bit twitchy.

There might be if you use a microscope, but it's NOTHING like the pics I posted. It looks just like the original AVI.
