...IF I had some burned games for my xbox with a XECUTER 3 CE chip, and I get the error message "there is aproblem with the disc you're usin; it might be dirty or damadged". IF that happened, what could it be? Of course I don't have/use burned games, just asking IF I had... Would be nice to hear from someone who knows about this. Could the settings be wrong? Is there something wrong with the setup on my box? Do I need any extra programs? Is there something wrong with the rip? Have anybody heard about this problem. The XECUTER 3 CE chip should manage to run these games (IF I had any, that it). Please HELP!!
It does happen and often. Even with a properly working chipped box, the DVD reader can be dirty or have a worn out laser or other mechanism that is bad which will cause the dirty disk error (DDE). If you burn cheap media at too high a speed or with a worn out burner, you will get the same problem even if the burner claims a good burn. This will happen if you try to play movies or CD's and try to read/load them into a stock Xbox. A chipped box will only be as good as your DVD reader and the quality of the burned media.
I'll check up what kind of bios/dashboard I have in the box until tomorrow. The box is almost brand new - bought it in april. But the rip itself can be the problem? If it is ripped in slower speed it might help? Tnx XD
It can be ripped as fast as your PC's CPU can handle it. It's the burning speed that matters. A fast burn means the burner has to put out more laser power than at a slower speed and the reliability of the burn can go down if the burner is working at its limit. Burning at a slow speed usually makes for more readable media in more players, Xbox included.
If you said it was almost brand new, it must have been sitting on the store shelf or in storage for a long time. 1.0 xboxes haven't been manufactured since mid 2003. If you really have a 1.0 box, then installing an X3 will not be a problem.
I'm quite green in this - the box was bought from a shop in april, but does that have anything to do with that the games don't work? A colleague installed the XECUTER 3 CE-chip for me, and it seems to work just fine. It's just problems when I'm trying to run burned games. Is there any settings in the settings-menu I can do, or is it just fair and square the burning process that have made this problem appear? Sometimes when I switch in on to MS-dashboard, the green light blinks red and the screen is filled with unreadable stuff. I then have to restart it and go in to MS-dashboard via the Evolution-screen. Is there something wrong, or...?
what program are you burning the games with and what type of dvd are you burning them too? and what game does this happen to be is a a couple or only one?
Nero is used to burn them, the dvd's . Type of dvd's are single use (not rw-type). It happens to some of the games, not all. U can say 3 out of 10 works....
yea some games just dont work sometimes you have to rebuild or change some little things on the ISO...
the ISO is the Game when the game is on your computer it is an ISO...the Definition of ISO is very Wierd lol but simply put its a bunch of files put together to make one working file

Different ones. Ghost recon - advanced warfighter (and a few other GR-games), Tomb Raider, Half-life, a few spliter cell games....
Really Them Games worked fine for me, a couple things to do in the future use high quality dvd-r such as Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden Burn with IMGBurn at 4x Speed.... What program do you Rip them to your PC with?
Dunno yet - u have any good ideas? I'm doing this on my own now, and I'm still quite green. I've tried to connect the xbox with a cable to the computer (PC), but nothing seem to happen. So I figured out that I need some kind of sw on my computer to get into the xbox via the computer... Any ideas anyone? In the meantime I'll be sniffing around in here to see what I can find.
