I just bought a dvd recorder from circut city for about 400 dollars. The guy said it can do disk-to-disk copy, it can't, and it can be hooked up to the computer, it can't. It is a Panisonic digital video recorder which is strictly made for recording television shows onto dvd. But the guy said it would do disk-to-disk. What a ******* bumhole, I'm going to take it back.
Have you checked all cables and crap?? You've got me stumped........ do you mean its like a normal stand alone DVD player that can also record or is it like a DVD player/writer that is put into your pc? You can get leads that run from your pc to your DVD player/writer. Do a search and see what you can find or ring customer support. If then your not happy make the salesman eat it
It can do disc to disc copying if you are attempting to copy non encrytped DVD's. My bet is that you are trying to copy a DVD movie, which is encrypted and the macrovision on the Panasonic will rpevent you from copying it. ALso, it nearly certainly will connect to the computer. What are the output connectors on the back of the DVD recorder. Is it by any chance an ERM50 or something like that.
I'm a little surprised you didnt do a search to check out the functions of possible purchase before diving in (as it were). I know user: [bold]Ken0042 [/bold] will know about DVD StandAlone Recorder as I seem to remember latest Panasonic being mentioned a couple of months ago , havent seen Ken about lately but it may be worth sending him a polite Private Message & I'm sure if Ken0042 is about you'll get a fairly concise answer to queries.
Sure is, cant remember if its wise man says or wise men say But i cant help falling in love with me....
