It was actually not long ago, that I found out that you could check the number of posts you have made. Well, this is my 500th post. I also realize that many of them were responding to posts in here, and weren't helpful to people who were asking question.
@Geestar20: I remember that, now. I had it happen to me several times. Unless you have actually had it happen to you, you have no idea why the hell it keeps doing a chkdsk at startup, and you have no way of knowing how to mitigate the problem. Once you find out how to fix it, you will never forget.
well congrats GrandpaBW for reaching one of the loftier positions in this forum. And ddp well i've always said you were committed, but i really meant should be committed.Good luck also for such a respectable haul. andmerr
Well done Bruce. Good to see another SENIOR become a SENIOR MEMBER. Us old guys got to stick together and keep the youngsters in line (LOL). We are waiting up here on the next level for you. Jerry
Thanks Jerry746, but I gave up on trying to keep youngsters in line. Now, I am making my kids pay the price. I spoil the hell out of my grandkids when they come to visit. LOL
My wife can't wait to be a grandma. I keep telling her I'm not old enough yet. Yea it would be fun to spoil the grand kids and then hand them back to my daughter and son in law. Kind of like pay back time. Jerry
I was floored when I became a grandpa at age 46 (55 now). I asked my wife what the hell happened. It felt like I had gone to sleep and woke up 25 years later. lol That is how fast life really does go by. Anyway, the first time that I held my grandaughter, I knew that we were now in a special class of people. I then realized that the person who is able to make someone a grandparent, without them having to go through the parenting of your own kids, is going to become a multi-millionaire. LOL Not that raising kids is a bad thing. I rather liked it, most of the time.
hey in your sig it says you were a vet from 70 to 71, you were defending my country when i was in the womb, thanks for that ANY american owes you guys a big thanks, and i'm ashamed at how some of the damn hippies acted. anyway, thanks.
Thanks for the kind words, darthnip. My oldest son was in the womb, when I started my tour. I did not see him until he was 9 months old. He is 34 now, and turned out ok.
