I bought pre-installed X3 installed bios but need to reset it to original.

Hi, everyone for starters I ordered a Pre-installed Xbox Modchip from Mod-chips.com.

The Xbox that came was a version 1.6 saddly they took the samsung drive out and put an old Thompson drive in. I have several Dip plugs in the front of the Xbox and it has Black silicon and an X logo that will turn blue when the mod chip is turrned on and red when its deactivated. Everything went well so and I Flashed it over ftp with an X3 v1.6 bios. After flashing it with this bios, the D drive or Thompson would not recognize games backup or original. So then I put in the Slayer 2.6 CD-RW the only software that will play and loaded the 1MB Evox M8 bios, the only problem was that I forgot it was a version 1.6 and thus it needed to be flashed with version 1.6 of the evox M8. It still starts up and runs fine exept it still won't even recognize basic original Xbox games or Back-ups. When I insert them it just says unknown.

So I need a way to either reflash the M8 evox bios which the bios doesn't give me the option of doing anywere that I am aware of or reset the entire mod chip to its original state. Also if there is a programing cable that can do this or a way that I can do this over FTP I would love to. Thank you for all you help

Well my first suggestion would be to use dvd-r not +r and u should probobly try and get a new samsung drive. ftp usually doesnt give the best results in the world if u use slayers or the auto installer deluxe 2.11 (google it) on a dvd-r burned with dvd decryptor http://www.hackdabox.com/downloads.html burned at 1x speed it should work even wiht that tompson (ewww) drive. dvd-r's almost always read.

 

lol funny you mentioned auto installer as I just downloaded it earlyer today lol. Thanks for all your help and yes a Samsung is on the way.
