heres the story.. i followed instructions from dvdrhelp.com and did the steps. http://www.dvdrhelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php#dvd5 (topic DVD-9 to one recordable DVD using DVD2ONE) i used dvd decrypter to get the dvd riped onto my hd. then since it was like 4.8gigs, i figured i needed the dvd2one to make it smaller to fit on my 4.7gig dvd-r discs. well everything went well and then i tried to burn the files with nero. it said i needed a medium with larger space, so for the hell of it i tried my dvd-rw disc and coincidently it worked. the same results happened when i tried using CopyToDVD. and btw the burn was successful and worked great with the dvd-rw. but i have no clue why it would only burn on the rw, cause it was the same specs - 4.7gig 120min video. now even if the video size did matter, i thought using dvd2one makes it smaller, and even the movie wasnt over 2 hours. the dvd-rs i have are memorex, and the cd-rw is HP (came with the burner) please help
I've srhunk what DVD2one sets as default after running into a similar issue. I'm not if front of my home computer right now, but I think I set DVD2one make the output 4444 MB instead of 4464. Whatever the number I took 20 MB off. I now notice when I burn that sometimes it says 21.8 MB free, sometimes it's as low as 16 MB free on the DVD-R.
