I cant burn anything and I know my computer works

    I am using Nero to burn and have always used nero to burn and every time I put my media (I have tried Memorex as well as imation) it keeps saying that the media is empty please insert a blank disk. I have tried two different burners on this laptop as I have a backup computer and neither one works. Any suggestions, the disks are brand new with no scratches.

    Update the firmware for your burner.

    in addition to tdisom, you've got 2 big clues right there - Memorex as well as imation.

    post LAST section of your Nero log, which is in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, but DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar
